New truck for the Trust.

The Welsh Dee Trust are proud new owners of a ford ranger truck. The truck was purchased to support our Restoring River habitat Programme, it allow us to undertake work more safely and efficiently. The truck has been purchased secondhand thanks to a generous donation from the Garfield Weston foundation, which also helped purchase a variety of tools and training.

Our Restoring River Habitat programme aims to help wildlife of the River Dee. This involves planting woodlands on the riverbank, pinning deadwood into the river, restoring floodplains and removing man-made barriers to fish migration. The truck will be an essential tool in this work in the future.

A big thank you also needs to go to Kenrick motors in Llangollen who sourced and purchased the vehicle and has offered to help with maintenance in the future.
