Volunteer Opportunity: Communications and Social Media Assistant.

Location: Home Working.

Salary: Volunteer Role.

Contract: 1-2 hours a week.1-year position. 01/03/2022 until 28/02/2023.
Reports To: Project officer

Position Overview: 

The communications and social media assistant will create social media posts and other communications for the Welsh Dee Trust. This will involve talking to members of staff at Welsh Dee Trust, identifying a theme for the week and creating relevant social media content. The content will explain the work undertaken by the Welsh Dee Trust, raise issues around the challenges faced by the River Dee and help to engage more supporters for the charity.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your normal duties will be to:

  1. Meet with staff members of Welsh Dee Trust regularly to identify communication themes.
  2. Draft social media content to be posted on Welsh Dee Trust social media, inc. Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram and Facebook. 
  3. Work to create campaign documents, press releases, visual assets, etc. to promote current campaigns of the Welsh Dee Trust.
  4. Proof-read Welsh Dee Trust documents.

Remuneration and Expenses

This is a voluntary role and there is no salary paid as part of the work. This role should not create any expense for yourself. If a potential expense is necessary for you to carry out your duties and with prior agreement, Welsh Dee Trust will reimburse to you all expenses incurred. Receipts for all payments should be obtained and submitted with the claim for reimbursement wherever practicable.
