Location: Llangollen, North Wales.

Salary: £32,218- 36,898 p.a. subject to experience. 

Location: Llangollen, North Wales.
Pension: Option of the Rivers Trust pension scheme; Employee contribution of 6% and employers contribution of 9%.
Holidays: 25 Days + Bank Holidays.
Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Initial 2-year contract but will be extended if successful with fundraising.

About Welsh Dee Trust:

A member of the wider Rivers Trust movement; The Welsh Dee Trust is a small independent charity working to restore the brooks, streams and rivers of the Dee catchment for both wildlife and people. The Welsh Dee Trust has five work programmes to pursue in our 2023-2027 strategy. The It Shouldn’t Be in the Dee Programme aims to create a community-led approach to eliminating sources of pollution. The programme does this through training citizen scientists, litter picks, Education events and installing sustainable drainage.

Job Overview:

The programme manager will manage the It Shouldn’t Be in the Dee programme including Fundraising, Budgets, delivery and evaluation. Currently, this will be the only position employed on the programme and there are no line managing responsibilities. This means this role will also be responsible for delivering the day-to-day activities of the programme. This will involve organising litter pick days and other volunteer events, managing a citizen science water quality testing programme and undertaking education events to raise awareness around the challenges faced by the water environment.  The role will also be responsible for managing the Welsh Dee Trust communications including social media.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

Confident and personable manner.

Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams.

Ability to use Windows/Microsoft Office.

Full driving licence and your own vehicle.

Experience managing budgets

Experience of managing social media channels.

Desirable:

Knowledge of the challenges faced by the water environment.

Experience in managing contractors.
